Extraordinary People Limited is set to return with An Extraordinary Celebration 2026: Legacy of Love, bringing one of Singapore’s biggest inclusive performing arts events back to The Theatre at Mediacorp on 30 July. Now in its seventh edition, the annual concert will gather close to 400 performers from mainstream and special education schools in a shared celebration of talent, connection, and possibility.

The concert reflects the charity’s ongoing work in supporting children and young adults with disabilities through programmes focused on social engagement, independent living, vocational development, and the arts. Over the years, beneficiaries have continued building confidence and skills through music, visual arts, community participation, and workplace training, with some remaining on their journey with EPL beyond their school years.

This year’s theme, Legacy of Love, pays tribute to the teachers, trainers, therapists, mentors, caregivers, and supporters whose patience and belief have helped shape the lives of the young people taking the stage. Through the concert, students from mainstream and special education schools not only showcase their abilities, but also learn, rehearse, and perform together, creating opportunities to build friendships and deepen understanding across communities.

Among those returning with a deeper role this year is veteran entertainer Najip Ali, who will serve as Creative Director for the 2026 edition. After witnessing the impact of the concert firsthand in 2025, Najip shared that what stayed with him most were the moments behind the scenes, from students supporting one another to educators and families celebrating milestones that might otherwise go unnoticed.

The evening’s Guest of Honour will be Mdm Halimah Yacob, Chancellor of the Singapore University of Social Sciences and former President of Singapore, who has previously attended the concert and remains a strong advocate for caring and inclusive communities.

Also joining this year’s edition is acclaimed Singapore singer-songwriter Nathan Hartono, who will take part as mentor, collaborator, and featured performer. Before the concert, Hartono will spend time with student performers during rehearsals, sharing his experience while learning from them in return.

Members of the public can experience the event live through the official livestream on Extraordinary People Limited’s YouTube channel and website. Those who wish to contribute can make a donation via giving.sg. The concert will take place on Thursday, 30 July, with a 3 PM matinee show and a 7.30 PM evening show at The Theatre at Mediacorp.

Over the years, An Extraordinary Celebration has steadily grown into a platform that brings together students, educators, families, volunteers, corporate partners, and members of the public in support of a society where everyone can participate, contribute, and belong. Taking centre stage in 2026, the concert continues to champion the power of inclusion, celebrating not only the achievements of its performers but also the communities whose unwavering support helps make those achievements possible.
