An orchestra will be performing seminal scores from Hans Zimmer and John Williams live in Singapore

One of Britain’s most popular conductors, Anthony Inglis, will be heading down to Singapore in a couple of months to conduct some of the most iconic scores from two of the greatest film composers of the 20th Century: Hans Zimmer and John Williams.

Taking place at the grand Sands Theatre (within Mastercard Theatres at Marina Bay Sands) on Friday, 10 March and Saturday, 11 March, this performance will not only feature a full orchestra, it'll also be complemented by a dazzling light and laser show.

As some of you may recall, Anthony Inglis previously came down to Singapore for a similarly spectacular event in 2016 called The Iconic Film Scores Of John Williams: Star Wars And Beyond. Also presented by BASE Entertainment Asia, last year's amazing concert saw Inglis conducting the Singapore Metropolitan Festival Orchestra in a memorable celebration of John Williams' work.

Comparably, this year's showcase will also be incorporating the work of the famed Star Wars composer (also read: our breakdown of John Williams' essential soundtracks), alongside the seminal compositions of Chris Nolan's go-to guy - Hans Zimmer.

Featuring the music from films such as The Pirates of the Caribbean, The Dark Knight Rises, The Da Vinci Code, Batman Begins, Man of Steel, Gladiator, Inception, E.T., Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, Close Encounters of The Third Kind, Star Wars and Superman - this should be a wonderful evening for any film score buff out there.
