The Jellicle Cats are back. One of the most beloved musicals of all time, CATS the Musical is set to make its highly anticipated return to Sands Theatre at Marina Bay Sands this October, for a strictly limited season that promises magic, music, and memories.
Presented by Base Entertainment Asia, in association with GWB Entertainment and LW Entertainment, the Singapore season continues the show's rich local history following sold-out runs in 2015 and 2019. Fans can once again step into the whimsical world of the Jellicle Cats, where every feline has a story to tell.

Set in a moonlit junkyard playground, CATS follows the Jellicle Cats on the night of the Jellicle Ball, as they come together to share their tales in hopes of being chosen to ascend to the Heaviside Layer and be reborn. Based on T. S. Eliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats, the musical features characters like Grizabella, Old Deuteronomy, Skimbleshanks, Jennyanydots, Macavity, and more.
First premiered in London’s West End in 1981, CATS ran for a record-breaking 21 years before leaping to Broadway’s Winter Garden Theatre, where it played for 18 years. With over 73 million people having seen the show across 30 countries and 15 languages, it remains one of the longest-running musicals in history.
The musical’s unforgettable score is composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber, featuring the timeless anthem ‘Memory’, which has been recorded by more than 150 artists including Barbra Streisand, Barry Manilow, and Johnny Mathis. The original creative team includes direction by Trevor Nunn, choreography by Gillian Lynne, and design by John Napier.
