Anime Festival Asia Singapore 2025 brings anime premieres, cosplay icons, gaming zones & anisong concerts

Anime Festival Asia Singapore 2025 (AFASG25) returns from 28 to 30 November at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, uniting fans across anime, cosplay, gaming, and Japanese pop culture for three days of nonstop excitement.

Since its debut in 2008, AFA has become the region’s biggest J-culture convention. This year’s edition promises exclusive anime screenings, industry talk shows, cosplay showcases, gaming zones, meet & greets, and three nights of the signature I LOVE ANISONG concerts.

Anime premieres and Day Stage highlights

The Day Stage is one of AFASG25’s biggest draws, featuring special talks, screenings, and guest appearances. Fans can look forward to:

• Bâan -The Boundary of Adulthood- — created by anime YouTuber Gigguk.

• Lord of Mysteries — a steampunk fantasy of power and danger.

• Noble Reincarnation — ahead of its 2026 premiere, with sneak peeks and cast interviews.

• Chibi Godzilla Raids Again — featuring Akari Kito bringing Shobijin to life.

• Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 2 — with voice actors Kana Ichinose and Chiaki Kobayashi.

• Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX — with appearances from Simba Tsuchiya and NOMELON NOLEMON.

• The Apothecary Diaries — with guests Aoi Yuki and Asami Seto.

• The Holy Grail of Eris, Fire Force, and Labyrinth with director Shoji Kawamori.

For the first time, TOHO animation will also host its own booth at AFA Singapore, offering immersive activities inspired by Frieren, Chibi Godzilla, and The Apothecary Diaries.

Meet & Greets with stars and creators

Fans will get the rare chance to meet their favourite creators and performers in exclusive sessions. This year’s lineup includes:

• Thames Malerose – award-winning cosplayer from Thailand.

• Gigguk – anime YouTuber and part of the Trash Taste trio.

• Kana Ichinose & Sayumi Suzushiro – voice actresses behind Frieren and The Holy Grail of Eris.

• Sally Amaki – idol, MC, and YouTuber.

Each session comes with fan perks such as signed posters, closed-door Q&A segments, and group photos.

Cosplay, gaming, and Akiba Town

The Cosplay Hub is bringing together over 30 top cosplayers from across the region, including highly anticipated first-timers. Meanwhile, the massive Akiba Town exhibition hall will house top exhibitors, indie creators at the Creators Hub, the Cosplay Hub, Food Street, and the GameOn! Zone, where fans can try out the latest gaming titles.

I LOVE ANISONG

While AFASG25 goes far beyond music, the I LOVE ANISONG concerts remain a highlight. Sponsored by Crunchyroll, three themed nights will showcase top anisong and J-pop stars:

• SPARKLE (Friday): asmi, NOMELON NOLEMON, Sakurazaka46, SPYAIR

• GLOW (Saturday): fhána, HIMEHINA, nonoc, Shouta Aoi, Yoko Takahashi

• BLAZE (Sunday): ALI, Hachioji-P, Isekaijoucho, May’n, Wednesday Campanella
