Filipino singer-songwriter Anthony Meneses is back with a soul-stirring new version of his fan-favourite track ‘Paruparo’, this time reimagined as a duet with rising Korean artist Kim Gyeol.
Out now via Abyss Company, the dreamy ballad returns with a refreshed emotional weight, blending Anthony’s signature heartfelt lyricism with Kim Gyeol’s poetic vocals. Known for his deep timbre and lyrical wordplay, Anthony first made waves as a grand finalist on Wishcovery Season 3 and a standout Top 12 contestant on Idol Philippines.
This release also marks his second under Abyss Company Philippines, highlighting the Korean label’s expanding presence in the region and its push for Filipino-Korean music collabs. Earlier this year, Anthony dropped ‘Embotido’, and fans can expect more music—including a debut EP—on the horizon.
Meanwhile, Kim Gyeol, is known for her emotive hits like ‘One’s Love’ and ‘A Creased Heart’, as well as viral covers that have racked up over a million views on YouTube.
Together, the duo breathe new life into ‘Paruparo’, a track first released in February 2023, now serving as a symbolic fluttering of borders and genres. “Padayon,” or “keep going,” has been Anthony’s guiding mantra—and with each new release, it’s clear he’s just getting started.
