Apple Music just launched Apple Music Sing.
On 6 December, the streaming service introduced a new in-app feature that allows users to sing along to their favourite songs with adjustable vocals and real-time lyrics. Using Apple Music Sing, users can perform their hearts out, be it by taking the lead, doing a duet, or singing backup, and further their music experience.
“Apple Music’s lyrics experience is consistently one of the most popular features of our service,” said Oliver Schusser, Apple Music and Beats Vice President. “We already know our users all over the world love to follow along to their favourite songs, so we wanted to evolve this offering even further to enable even more engagement around music through singing. It’s really a lot of fun, our customers are going to love it.”
Apple Music Sing includes an array of features that give users more precise control over the tunes they want to sing. In Sing, fans will have access to:
- Adjustable vocals: Users will be able to control a song’s vocal levels
- Real-time lyrics: Users can sing along to their favourite songs with animated lyrics
- Background vocals: Sub-vocal lines will appear independent from the main vocals to
- Duet view: Multiple vocalists show on opposite sides of the screen
In line with the new feature, Apple Music will also be rolling out 50 dedicated playlists featuring all the classic karaoke hits for users to try out Sing to.
Apple Music Sing will be available later this December to subscribers worldwide on iPhone, iPad, and the new Apple TV.
