Elton John is set to christen Apple Music Hall, a new live music venue in London, with a surprise opening performance.
The British music icon will take the stage at the 600-capacity venue at Battersea Power Station on 28 September, marking his first public UK performance in more than three years.
John's performance kicks off a packed opening season that will also feature Baby Keem, Skye Newman, Troye Sivan, Arlo Parks, Burna Boy, Chase & Status, and Charli xcx through December.

The show follows John's appearance at Rock in Rio in Brazil on 7 September. His last public UK performance was at Glastonbury Festival in June 2023, where he wrapped up his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.
The singer is no stranger to Battersea Power Station. He previously played a private concert at the London landmark in 2014 to mark the building's residential and commercial redevelopment.

Apple Music Hall is equipped with a 48-speaker spatial audio system and a customisable 38-foot-wide stage. The space also houses two dedicated recording and mix studios and is wired for 16 or more cameras alongside a purpose-built broadcast control room, allowing performances to be captured for audiences beyond the venue.
Apple opened its London headquarters at Battersea Power Station in 2022, with the site also housing studios used by Apple Music Radio's London-based hosts.
For the new venue, Apple has partnered with UK promoter Communion ONE to support bookings and promotion.
