SEISHUN INOSHISHI <Go Wild> ATARASHII GAKKO! THE MOVIE is hitting Singapore for an exclusive screening from 24 to 27 July at GV Cineleisure — and it’s more than just a concert film. It’s a time capsule of youth, chaos, and pure, unfiltered passion from one of Japan’s most electrifying acts.
In 2024, ATARASHII GAKKO! — the dynamic four-piece known for their explosive energy and genre-defying style — conquered the Gobi Stage at Coachella, then blazed through a 33-city world tour that pulled in over 110,000 fans. This film captures the final night of that journey — the climactic Nippon Calling Tour 2024 show at Tokyo’s Yoyogi National Stadium on 22 December.
Beyond the stage, the film offers a deeply personal look into the members’ lives. Expect exclusive backstage access, emotive solo interviews, surprise fan events, and previously unseen tour footage from across Japan. From chaotic rehearsals to late-night reflections, it’s a raw celebration of everything ATARASHII GAKKO! stands for: fearless individuality and “endless youth”.
Directed by Keisuke Shimizu, the film is less a retrospective and more a living, breathing moment of youth suspended in time. As he puts it, “I didn’t want to capture the past — I wanted to record the miracle of the present.”
