When winter lingers, Atarayo are already looking ahead.

The Japanese band have released their latest single, ‘Spring Is Coming (春となり)’, a sweeping medium-tempo ballad that turns the changing of seasons into a tender love story. Out now, the track arrives as an insert song for the Japanese theatrical release of The Dangers in My Heart (僕の心のヤバイやつ) — marking another heartfelt crossover between the band and the beloved series.

Built on expressive lyricism and dynamic melodic shifts, ‘Spring Is Coming’ carries a quiet dual meaning. Beyond the literal arrival of spring, the song reflects on winter as the “season beside spring” — a metaphor for two hearts slowly closing the distance between them. It’s understated, intimate, and unmistakably Atarayo.

The accompanying music video traces the emotional space between Valentine’s Day and White Day, capturing the fragile in-between of almost-confessions. Lingering glances, unspoken feelings, and a single tear tell a story that feels achingly familiar.

As director Udo shared, “The MV portrays a White Day when the two have not fully expressed their feelings. I reflected on their relationship in the girl’s tears. I hope viewers enjoy imagining the emotions and stories behind each moment.”

This release marks Atarayo’s second collaboration with The Dangers in My Heart, following their TV anime season 2 opening theme ‘(I Am…)「僕は…」’ in January 2024.
