World-renowned experimental guitarists gather at Artistry, as Ujikaji hosts the Singapore leg of Avantguitar

Founded as a "creative collaboration between experimental guitarists across the world", Avanguitar is a collective dedicated to pushing the boundaries of guitar-playing through extended techniques, electronics and other innovative methods.

Made up renowned artists from all walks of life, Avanguitar will soon be touring Southeast Asia from the 10th to the 27th of November to present their genre-defying approach across Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.

The Singapore leg of that 10 concert stretch will be presented by independent music label Ujikaji Records at Artistry on Tuesday, 22 November. Showcasing five musicians, who in their own personal way “hack” the guitar to create unprecedented sonic dimensions, this vanguard gig should be an eye-opening evening for local audiences.
