The Olivier Award-winning reimagined production of Jesus Christ Superstar is officially coming to Singapore, with the global phenomenon set to take the stage at Sands Theatre at Marina Bay Sands from August 2026 as part of its international tour. Following acclaimed, sold-out seasons across London, North America, the UK, and Australia, this celebrated staging of Emmy, GRAMMY, Oscar and Tony award winners Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic musical promises a spectacular new chapter for local audiences.
A waitlist is now open until 26 November, offering fans the chance to gain first access to ticket sales before they open to the public. Priority access begins on 27 November, followed by early-bird windows across ticketing channels such as, Klook, SISTIC, and MBS before the general sale. This production is presented by Base Entertainment Asia.

Jesus Christ Superstar premiered at London’s Palace Theatre on 9 August 1972, running for over eight years and 3,358 performances, becoming the West End’s longest-running musical at the time. Since then, it has seen numerous productions worldwide, including a 2012 Broadway revival, ITV competition TV show called Superstar, an arena tour, and a 45th-anniversary staging at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre.
This production brings together the award-winning creative team of director Timothy Sheader and choreographer Drew McOnie, with design by Tom Scutt, lighting by Lee Curran, sound by Nick Lidster, and music supervision by Tom Deering. Featuring an the iconic 1970s rock score with well-loved tunes such as 'Superstar', 'I Don’t Know How to Love Him', and 'Gethsemane', the musical retells the final days of Jesus Christ through the eyes of Judas Iscariot.
