Awich and ALI have teamed up for Golden Kamuy’s final opening theme, and it’s as breathtaking as the anime it soundtracks.

Released alongside the anime’s final chapter, the music video for ‘Golden Horizon’ captures an epic transition from summer to winter across Japan — filmed on location from the Kanto region to the snow-covered landscapes of Hokkaido. Directed by Hideto Hotta, the sweeping visuals mirror the grand storytelling and spiritual depth of the beloved series.

Awich, hailed as the queen of Japanese hip-hop, and genre-bending band ALI, reunite after the success of ALI’s ‘NEVER SAY GOODBYE feat. Mummy-D’ from season 4. This new track, produced by Chaki Zulu, LEO, and Ryo "LEFTY" Miyata, brings together powerful lyricism and cinematic instrumentation that echo the anime’s themes of survival, legacy, and identity.

“The cycle of life, prayers, betrayal, bonds, and determination depicted in Golden Kamuy deeply resonated with me,” shares Awich. “I’ve always felt a connection between the Ainu and Okinawan cultures—both rooted in the land, both having endured oppression while preserving their heritage. That spiritual resonance inspired ‘Golden Horizon’... a tribute to those who keep fighting.”

“When I got the offer, I was honestly blown away,” adds ALI’s LEO. “This time, I wanted to go even deeper—to express love and emotion more fully. As the final chapter unfolds… what will you discover beyond the gold?”
