Awich, the undisputed queen of Japanese hip-hop, has just unleashed her latest album, Okinawan Wuman. Executive produced by the legendary RZA of Wu-Tang Clan, the record bridges East and West with blistering beats and razor-sharp bars.
The project leads with the focus track ‘Fear Us’ – a hard-hitting collaboration featuring Joey Bada$$ and RZA himself.
A proud nod to her Okinawan roots and her love for American hip-hop, Okinawan Wuman sees Awich in her element, blending her signature bilingual flow with RZA’s gritty, cinematic sound. The result? A genre-spanning powerhouse that channels resilience, identity, and cultural crossover.
“I was born and raised in Okinawa, a crossroads of cultures, histories, and survival,” Awich shares. “In a world moving at breakneck speed, I chose to move with intention, shaping this project to complete the story I’ve carried within me since childhood.”
The album features a powerhouse lineup of guests including Westside Gunn, 454, MIKE, and previously released bangers like ‘Butcher Shop’ with FERG and ‘Wax On Wax Off’ featuring Lupe Fiasco.
Okinawan Wuman is more than an album – it’s a manifesto. With this release, Awich continues to redefine what it means to be a global hip-hop artist from Asia.
