The world of Axie Infinity has made it into the big leagues.

On Wednesday (20/10), Leah Callon-Butler and Nathan Smale's emotional short film PLAY-TO-EARN: NFT Gaming in the Philippines won Best Documentary Short at the October 2021 Robinson Film Awards.

The 18-minute film brings focus to Sky Mavis' widely popular crypto game Axie Infinity and now it has become a part of numerous Filipinos' lives, who've been greatly affected by the ongoing pandemic. It takes a deeper look into a rural community in Nueva Ecija and how it's helped them create a new revenue stream in these difficult times.
