BandLab is expanding its full-service creator toolset.

On 1 February, BandLab Technologies announced that they had acquired global music technology platform Airbit

Following the acquisition, Airbit will continue to empower both notable producers and rising beatmakers on the platform by expanding their audience outreach to millions of new customers around the world. Additionally, users can enjoy uninterrupted services as features will be seamlessly integrated into BandLab’s creator platform.

Currently, artists have earned over $50M+ on Airbit, selling over 2M+ beats on the platform, which boasts a catalogue of more than a million beats from producers worldwide.

Notably, Airbit's producers and artists have won Grammy Awards and also worked with renowned artists such as Beyoncé, Wiz Khalifa, Drake, and Eminem.

“We are thrilled to bring Airbit’s community to BandLab. We are continually looking for opportunities to support BandLab artists in their creative process, and this has been one of our communities’ most requested features,” said Meng Ru Kuok, CEO & Founder of BandLab Technologies.

She added: “Thanks to companies like Airbit, self-serve beat marketplaces have become an exciting route for creators to find and purchase high-quality beats to kickstart their creative process. We’re excited to improve the user experience for our creators and introduce new ways for them to earn a living.”

As the flagship product of BandLab Technologies, BandLab is the "next-generation social music creation platform" which welcomes all artists to collaborate on music projects and connect with millions on their state-of-the-art free studio platform.

To date, BandLab has worked with an impressive list of acclaimed artists, including producer and DJ J Beatz, Bollywood's DJ Suketu, and singer-songwriter Seids.

BandLab Technologies' acquisition of Airbit will expand BandLab’s current creator toolset, including platforms like the artificial intelligence-powered idea generator SongStarter, allowing artists to create, promote, and distribute their music efficiently.

CEO of Airbit, Wasim Khamlichi said: “Airbit shares BandLab’s ethos of allowing music makers every opportunity to find success. Airbit was started with the intent to empower creators as artists and entrepreneurs through new technologies and forward-thinking music monetization tools. Since Airbit was founded in 2009, it has grown to become a powerful platform for hundreds and thousands of creators. BandLab is best positioned to take it to the next level.”
