Bandwagon Mix #2: Jaydah (ATTAGIRL)

Every couple of weeks, Bandwagon invites a guest to do a mix for us. Rather than a standard interview where the artist explains their influences, we figured it’d be more potent if you simply listened to the music. We provide the context, they provide the sounds.

Jaydah has been a favourite of ours ever since she graduated from the 2012 edition of FFF Girl DJ Bootcamp, so it only makes sense that she would be one of our first picks when we initially conceived of the Bandwagon Mix series. In recent years, we’ve seen the prodigious selectah grow from a technically-gifted but tentative looking DJ to a straight-up beast on the decks.

She truly is the leading lady of the local bass scene at the moment, thanks to her impeccable sense of timing and an always killer track selection. From deep and dark dubstep to gritty grime to the newer strain of footwork-influenced drum & bass - Jaydah’s sets have quickly proven to be can’t miss events.
