Bandwagon Mix #55: Sunju Hargun

Bandwagon Mix #55: Sunju Hargun

Every week, Bandwagon invites a guest to do a mix for us. Rather than a standard interview where the artist explains their influences, we figured it’d be more potent if you simply listened to the music.

We provide the context, they provide the sounds.

Hailing from Bangkok, veteran electronic musician Sunju Hargun is a DJ and producer that has worked tirelessly for well over decade to earn his current reputation as one of techno's most compelling players today. Sunju's deep and dark sound has mesmerized crowds in festivals and clubs across Asia, Europe, Oceania and North America - earning praise from dance floor denizens and professional contemporaries alike everywhere from Berlin to Bali.

Meanwhile, his own sterling productions and stirring remixes have received widespread support from the giants such as Ritchie Hawtin and Carl Cox (among others), leading to numerous Beatport Top 50 chart triumphs and releases on renowned labels like Tiga's Turbo Recordings and Steve Lawler's Viva Music. Ahead of Sunju's highly-anticipated set at Headquarters by The Council this Saturday, we got one of the hottest names in the game to lay down this riveting hour-long appetizer for us.
