Bandwagon Mix #59: Dogs On The Turns

Every week, Bandwagon invites a guest to do a mix for us. Rather than a standard interview where the artist explains their influences, we figured it’d be more potent if you simply listened to the music.

We provide the context, they provide the sounds.

Dogs On The Turn (DOTT) may not be a known quantity in Singapore just yet, but rest assured, he is most certainly one of the finest 4/4 purveyors hailing from Thailand at the moment. Although his journey into music first began with acid jazz and the bass guitar, the prodigious musician eventually found his passion in electronic music upon experiencing the wonders of the "four on the floor" beat. Now an accomplished underground figure back home, DOTT is acclaimed for his ability to straddle the light and dark sides of house and techno.

The Bangkok-based DJ and producer will now introduce himself to the Singaporean dancefloor this weekend during his forthcoming set at Headquarters By The Council. Headlining the second ever edition of their Foreign Affairs party series (created to shine a light on some of our region's best nightlife talent), DOTT should prove to be a revelation to the HQ faithful. But before his showcase this weekend, DOTT has graciously crafted this irresistible hour-long mix for us, made up entirely of his own unreleased productions!
