Bandwagon Mix #8: Debbie Chia (Midnight Shift)

Bandwagon Mix #8: Debbie Chia (Midnight Shift)

Every week, Bandwagon invites a guest to do a mix for us. Rather than a standard interview where the artist explains their influences, we figured it’d be more potent if you simply listened to the music. We provide the context, they provide the sounds.

A Red Bull Music Academy alumni from way back (2005), Debbie Chia has spent the decade since serving as one of Singapore’s finest house DJs. She’s been the go-to girl for discerning 4/4 nights in at Velvet Underground and kyo, her mixes have been regularly featured on Lush 99.5 FM and she’s been invited to play cities like Seattle, Seoul, Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong - so clearly she’s in demand. But outside all of that, she’s also the co-founder of prominent house/techno label Midnight Shift, boasting an international roster of names like Iron Curtis, Terrence Parker, Basic Soul Unit and Recondite amongst many others. For the 8th edition of the Bandwagon Mix, Debbie has crafted a smooth, palliative ambient concoction for us. Bliss out!
