Beerfest Asia is heading to the beach for its next chapter.
Happening from 11 to 13 September, BFA @ The Beach will take over Palawan Green, Sentosa for three days of music, beer, global flavours, and community experiences. Presented by Tiger®, the reimagined festival will bring together more than 180 beers alongside international food offerings and a music programme featuring over 22 acts.
Positioned as the beginning of "BFA 2.0," the festival will centre on a new organising principle — Community × Discovery × Lifestyle Culture. While beer remains at its core, this edition is expanding the Beerfest Asia experience beyond the drink itself, with food and music serving as additional ways for different communities to come together.

"When we started BFA 2.0, the question wasn’t simply how to put Beerfest Asia on again. It was why Beerfest Asia should exist and what purpose it could serve," shared Festival Director Paul Lee.
"Community, Discovery and Lifestyle Culture became our answer. We want to bring people together, give Singapore’s brewers a stronger platform and create a place where different communities, cultures and flavours can meet."
From emo and K-pop DJs to ‘80s, ‘90s and 2000s favourites
For music fans, BFA @ The Beach is building its weekend soundtrack around Mixtape Memories, a programme spanning the defining music of the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s alongside contemporary sounds and emerging acts.
More than 22 acts comprising live bands, international DJs, community performances, emerging artists, and sunset acoustic sessions will perform across the weekend, with Singapore artists joined by acts from the Philippines and South Korea.

Among the international names is Filipino band SUD, who will make an exclusive showcase at the festival.
South Korea will also be represented by DJ Ina, a K-pop idol turned DJ whose sets move through EDM, bounce, house, and techno, as well as DJ Tigger, whose career stretches back to Seoul's club scene in the 1990s. The latter has worked as a music director for Club CHAV and Club COCOON, founded DJ label Soul Papa, and formed producing duo Tigger & Giovani.
Closer to home, Saturday night will turn up the nostalgia with the EMONIGHTSG LIVE EXPERIENCE. Since 2016, EMONIGHTSG has built a following around emo, pop-punk, alternative rock, and nu-metal anthems from the likes of Paramore, My Chemical Romance, and Jimmy Eat World.
The collective has previously brought its sing-and-scream parties to F1 Singapore, Baybeats, and the Singapore Rugby Sevens, while also hosting guest performances from touring artists including Yellowcard and Silverstein. Its BFA @ The Beach appearance will include a DJ set by THEBRYANSTATE from 9:30 PM on Saturday.

Elsewhere, the lineup will tap into plenty of throwback favourites. Rock Rosettes will pay tribute to Paramore, No Doubt, and Alanis Morissette, while TABULA & Friends will revisit music from Foo Fighters, Oasis, The Killers, and more.
Kabin Krue will take on favourites from Bryan Adams, Goo Goo Dolls, and Metallica, while Velvet Typhoon will bring Mando and Canto classics from the likes of BEYOND and A-SHIN into the mix.
The festival's trip through music history will continue with Happy Together, performing tributes to Spice Girls, Take That, Hanson, and more; Ruby Rocks, taking on Green Day, Nirvana, and Jet; and The Unfortunate Sons, celebrating Creedence Clearwater Revival.
Inertia will bring alternative rock favourites including Coldplay and Counting Crows, while Slytra Trio will take on Lady Gaga anthems. Bushmen, meanwhile, will deliver classic reggae mixtapes, while Jacklyn, Juni & Cheng will revisit classic Mandopop hits.
Also on the bill are Shane Low, with tributes spanning Michael Jackson, Matchbox Twenty, and Robbie Williams; Kamadooma, bringing beach-ready grooves and sunset singalongs; and international school band EIT Project.

On the decks, DJ Maverick, DJ Timo, and DJ Victor will revisit old-school hip-hop, ‘90s pop, and retro favourites, while DJ Saud will bring a Gen Z spin with his mixtapes.
The performances will unfold around a 360-degree omnidirectional main stage designed with gathering and shared experiences in mind. A separate Sunset Stage will provide acoustic sounds by the beach, taking festival-goers from the afternoon through golden hour and into the evening.
More than 180 beers from Singapore and around the world
Music is only one part of the expanded BFA experience.
With Tiger® serving as Title Sponsor and Official Beer, BFA @ The Beach will put Singapore's brewing story front and centre. The homegrown beer brand, which was born in Singapore in 1932, is now available in more than 60 markets worldwide.
Alongside it will be a new generation of Singapore brewers, including The 1925 Brewing Co., Sunbird Brewing Company, Rainforest Brewery, People People Brewing Co., Rye & Pint, and RedDot BrewHouse, among others. People People Brewing Co. will also serve as the festival's Official Craft Beer.
The festival is using that homegrown lineup to look beyond simply sampling beers, raising larger questions around what defines a Singapore beer, how local breweries can grow in a small and high-cost market, and how heritage, provenance, and Asian palates can help build a distinctive local brewing identity.

Those conversations are also set to inform BREWED HERE, a proposed three-part vodcast series with official media partners The Peak and HardwareZone. The series is envisioned around three themes — Identity, Economics, and Legacy — exploring Singapore craft beer through the wider lenses of entrepreneurship, family enterprise, differentiation, survival, and succession.
The local breweries will meet an extensive international selection at Palawan Green. More than 180 beers from markets including China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Estonia, Germany, France, Scandinavia, and beyond will be represented.
For the first time at Beerfest Asia, the Brewers Association will also participate, bringing beers from more than eight independent American craft breweries to Singapore.

Global flavours meet Singapore craft beer
Food will be another major part of the discovery experience, with flavours drawing from Germany, Mexico, Korea, Thailand, Italy, Japan, and more.
One of the festival's most curated food-and-beer experiences will be Sunset Social, helmed by Executive Chef Dexter Ko of Creative Eateries.
Ko will create 12 canapés around beers from three selected Singapore breweries. Inspired by BFA @ The Beach's tropical setting, the menu will explore how qualities such as freshness, fruitiness, spice, acidity, richness, aroma, and texture interact with different beers.
Rather than approaching the experience as a straightforward beer-and-food pairing, Sunset Social is designed to bring the curiosity commonly associated with wine pairing to Singapore craft beer and tropical flavours.
A new home for Beerfest Asia
The shift to Palawan Green is also central to the festival's wider reset.
Located along Sentosa's beachfront with open sea views, the green space is intended to give Beerfest Asia something it previously lacked: a consistent sense of place from which the festival can develop its identity and relationship with its audience.
Planning for the first BFA @ The Beach began only in late April and early May, giving organisers around four months to develop the new strategy, establish its new home, build partnerships, engage local and international brewers, and put together the festival.
According to Lee, this September's edition is consequently being viewed as the starting point rather than the finished form of BFA 2.0.
"Four months is a very tight timeline to start building a new festival, and we are realistic about what can be achieved in one edition," he said.
"What matters is that we start with purpose. We can give Singapore’s brewers a stronger platform, put them alongside brewing cultures from around the world and bring different communities together through food, music and shared experiences."
He added: "Great festivals are built over time. They develop traditions, communities and a relationship with a place. This September is about laying those foundations — not simply to stage another Beerfest Asia, but to start building a new festival for Singapore."
Responsible drinking and sustainability
The festival's broader approach to beer culture will include measures around responsible drinking and sustainability.
BFA @ The Beach will operate a Challenge 21 age-verification policy alongside responsible alcohol service, food, and hydration. Heineken 0.0 will be the Official No/Lo Beer, while Montana Alps will serve as the Official Hydration Partner.

Every Discovery Pass will also come with The Discovery Mug, a reusable 330ml frosty mug designed to keep beverages chilled without ice. Festival-goers can use the mug throughout BFA @ The Beach before taking it home afterwards.
The festival also arrives amid a growing conversation around beer tourism in Asia. A forthcoming research report from Beer Asia is set to examine the region's potential for beer tourism and how breweries, festivals, and local beer cultures could shape travellers' experiences of destinations.
For BFA @ The Beach, Singapore's combination of international connectivity, culinary diversity, hospitality, compact geography, and position at the crossroads of Asia forms part of that proposition — bringing local brewers together with international beer and food cultures in one tropical destination.
Further brewery, food, entertainment, partnership, and festival announcements are expected ahead of BFA @ The Beach.
