BIGHIT MUSIC launches free hip-hop training programme for aspiring teen rappers

BIGHIT MUSIC, the agency behind global K-pop superstars BTS, is opening applications for its upcoming hip-hop training initiative, BIGHIT MUSIC Hit It Base 2026.

Announced on Monday, the free professional programme is open to male teens born between 2008 and 2016 who dream of pursuing a career in hip-hop music. Applications are currently open and will run through 28 June.

A total of 20 finalists will be selected to participate in a 10-session weekend training programme that explores the history of hip-hop, music production, composition, and styling. The programme is set to begin on 11 July and continue through 9 August.

The selected participants will then showcase their work at the programme’s Final Show on 16 August at Seongam Art Hall. The event will be hosted by Aiki, with a guest performance by rapper NOW IM Young.

Applicants are required to submit a short clip alongside a front-facing photo through BIGHIT MUSIC’s audition website. According to the agency, the clip may include a rap performance, a self-introduction video, or a video explaining their favourite hip-hop track.
