Siyoon of Billlie is heading to Hollywood for her first-ever film role in Perfect Girl, a new K-pop-themed thriller alongside KPop Demon Hunters star Arden Cho and Adeline Rudolph of Mortal Kombat II.
The film dives into the dark undercurrents of the idol industry, following the ambitions, rivalries, and eerie events that unfold among a group of K-pop trainees. Perfect Girl is directed by Hong Wonki of ZANYBROS and penned by Lynn Q. Yu, whose script made the 2023 Hollywood Black List. It is produced by Badlands and Thunder Roads Film.
Siyoon will take on a role that demands emotional nuance — portraying a trainee wrestling with pressure, passion, and unexpected dangers. Known for her expressive stage presence, she previously worked with director Hong on Billlie’s acclaimed music videos for 'GingaMingaYo (the strange world)' and 'Patbingsu'.
This marks a major step for Siyoon as she expands her creative portfolio beyond music. Earlier this year, she debuted in Billlie’s first sub-unit with Moon Sua, releasing ‘SNAP (feat. sokodomo)’, which charted on iTunes K-pop charts in 10 countries. The duo also featured in ARrC’s single ‘WoW (Way of Winning)’.
Billlie recently appeared on Apple TV+’s KPOPPED and performed alongside Patti LaBelle and Megan Thee Stallion in a special global stage moment — and now, Siyoon’s screen debut signals even bigger things to come.
