Billyrrom have just released their first LP, and it's a stunner. The Japanese band are best known for their unique sound dubbed as "Tokyo Transition Soul" - which blends soul, funk an rock influences. And all those elements are present on their 11-track record called WiND.
"Each sound and word that composes this album is filled with the thoughts, efforts, and creative exploration not only from the six of us but also from the many people who contributed to its production, We are truly grateful to be able to release such an album, and we feel immense joy in sharing it with the world. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who takes the time to listen to our work and reflect on its meaning,” the sextet expressed.
The album contains previously released tacks like 'DUNE', Windy You' and 'Once Upon A Night', as well as their latest single 'Clock Hands'. The newest release comes accompanied by a fantastic music video directed by Rintaro Miyawaki.
This year, the group garnered significant attention from their festival performances at Fuji Rock, Gigantic Music, Rising Sun Rock, Space Shower Sweet Love Shower, One Park, Metrock, Carnival Fever, Jam Jam Asia and Greenroom. Most recently, Billyrrom was chosen as Japan’s representative for Fender Next ™ 2024, Fender's Next Generation Artist Support Program selects 25 promising talents out of 1,000 artists worldwide.
