BINI have officially released 'A Parallel World', their new original song for DreamWorks Animation's upcoming fantasy adventure Forgotten Island.
The uplifting electronic pop track blends English and Filipino lyrics while exploring themes of friendship, hope, and resilience. Produced by Nathan Matthew David and Shawn Wasabi, the song features shimmering synths, soaring harmonies, and all eight members coming together on an anthemic chorus.
The track marks another major milestone for the P-pop act, who become part of a soundtrack celebrating Filipino culture on a global stage. Inspired by Forgotten Island's story, 'A Parallel World' seamlessly weaves Tagalog lines—including "Makulay ating daan, isang milyon ang larawan" and "Matapos man ang mundo, maligaya ako sa nag-iisang tala sa langit"—into its message of staying together through uncertainty.
Fans were first given a glimpse of the song when DreamWorks shared behind-the-scenes footage of BINI recording in the studio. Concertgoers at the opening night of the group's Signals world tour also caught an early preview, with BINI debuting choreography for the track ahead of its official release.
Forgotten Island follows best friends Jo and Raissa, voiced by H.E.R. and Liza Soberano, as they journey through the mystical island of Nakali—a world inspired by Filipino folklore and mythology. Directed by Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado, the film also features the voices of Manny Jacinto, Dolly de Leon, Ronny Chieng, Dave Franco, Jenny Slate, and Jo Koy.
'A Parallel World' joins a soundtrack packed with Filipino talent, including Lea Salonga, SB19, and KATSEYE member Sophia Laforteza. H.E.R. and Liza Soberano also perform the original song 'BRB' for the film.
