Ahead of their upcoming comeback, BLACKPINK have officially become the first artist in the world to surpass 100 million subscribers on YouTube — cementing their reign as the undisputed “Queens of YouTube.”

According to YG Entertainment, the group’s official channel crossed the 100 million mark roughly 9 years and 8 months after it launched on 28 June 2016. It is the highest subscriber milestone ever achieved by any artist globally.

Even in their 11th year since debut, BLACKPINK’s momentum shows no signs of slowing.

Subscriber growth notably accelerated following promotions for their third mini album DEADLINE. Since the album announcement video dropped on 15 January, the channel has reportedly gained an average of 10,000 new subscribers per day — proof of the intense global anticipation surrounding their next musical chapter.

On a platform that continues to reshape the global music industry, YouTube subscriber counts are widely regarded as a marker of fan loyalty. For a group already firmly positioned at the top, this continued expansion speaks volumes about BLINKs worldwide.

This milestone adds to a long list of YouTube achievements. In July 2020, BLACKPINK became the first non-English-speaking artist to enter the Top 5 of YouTube’s subscriber rankings. They later surpassed global pop heavyweights including Ariana Grande, Eminem, Ed Sheeran, Marshmello, and Justin Bieber, eventually rising to No. 1 among all artists worldwide in September 2021 — a position they continue to hold.

Their view counts are equally staggering:

  • 50 videos with over 100 million views each

  • 41.1 billion cumulative channel views

  • Officially recognised by Guinness World Records as the “Most Viewed Band on YouTube”

If there were ever doubts about their digital dominance, this milestone silences them.

The record-breaking news arrives just days before the release of their third mini album, DEADLINE, arriving on 27 February at 2PM (KST). Pre-save and pre-order DEADLINE here.
