LISA is kicking off a new chapter with 'SaWaDiKa'.
Released on 3 September, the new single serves as the lead track from the BLACKPINK member’s upcoming EP, PRESS PLAY, which arrives on 23 October via LLOUD Co./RCA Records.
Produced by Thom Bridges and Ojivolta, 'SaWaDiKa' takes its name from the Thai greeting for “hello” and sees LISA returning to a hip-hop-driven sound while nodding to her Thai roots.
The accompanying music video, directed by Bang Jae Yeob, was filmed in LISA’s native Bangkok. It follows the rapper and singer across several locations in the Thai capital, pairing high-energy choreography with a series of fashion-forward looks.
'SaWaDiKa' arrives ahead of LISA’s upcoming VIVA LA LISA Residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The residency sold out in under 10 minutes and will see her perform across two weekends on 13 and 14 November, as well as 27 and 28 November.
Her forthcoming documentary, Always Lalisa, directed by Sue Kim, is also set to premiere at the Toronto Film Festival before opening in cinemas worldwide on 12 October.
