BLACKPINK star ROSÉ appeared on incredble medly on 11 December to promote her new solo album rosie.
The K-pop superstar showed off her playful side with an energic performance of 'APT.' - one of the biggest songs of 2024 - and got vulnerable with a powerful rendition of her emotional single 'toxic till the end'.
Although the performance missed collaborator Bruno Mars, his absence didn't detract one bit, as ROSÉ imbued her showcase with pure joy from the start. The singer began by casually leaning back in Fallon’s chair and then sitting atop his desk before skipping out to the audience and getting them involved.
For 'toxic till the end', ROSÉ returned to the set and delivered a transformative performance, unleashing past heartbreak into her cathartic vocals as confetti fell on the stage.
During the interview portion, ROSÉ opened up about her childhood dream of becoming a singer, shared how Bruno Mars helped pick the name of her first solo album, and showed Fallon how to play the 'APT.' drinking game.
She also talked about her her first audition for BLACKPINK, “It was around the time Jason Mraz had released a song called ‘I Won’t Give Up,’ I had just learnt it… I walked in, I honestly thought it was a joke. I was like, "This is funny. There’s no way I’m going to get it at all." But my dad and I had flown all the way from Melbourne to Sydney for the audition, so I was like, "Well, might as well make some memories."”
