BOYNEXTDOOR drop 'HOME: DELUXE' repackage album, unleash their wild side in 'ANIMAL' music video

BOYNEXTDOOR are stepping out of their comfort zone with their first repackage album.

Released on 28 September, HOME: DELUXE builds on the six-piece's first studio album, HOME, taking its story of the "boys next door" beyond the familiarity of home and into new experiences and emotions.

The 14-track record brings together all nine songs from HOME alongside two new tracks, two previously released songs, and BOYNEXTDOOR's first fan song.

Leading the new material is 'ANIMAL', which marks the group's first venture into electro-funk. Driven by a weighty beat and a chant-heavy chorus, the track likens the pursuit of one's desires to the instincts of an animal.

The members also had a hand in shaping the song. Drawing from their experiences performing live, BOYNEXTDOOR contributed ideas for the chorus' call-and-response ad-libs and melodic line. RIWOO also participated in creating the chorus choreography, incorporating animal-inspired movements into the performance.

Its accompanying music video sees the group let those instincts loose across an ordinary city. From residential neighbourhoods and construction sites to an outdoor wedding venue and fountains, the members move from place to place with an increasingly uninhibited energy. Animal-inspired movements, quick edits, and dynamic camera work further play into the track's sense of freedom.

Elsewhere on HOME: DELUXE is new disco track 'CLICHE', which captures the unexpected rush of falling in love. The record also features the Korean version of 'Count To Love', 'Boom Boom Boom', and the group's first fan song, pop ballad '400 Years'.

The release follows a run of milestones for BOYNEXTDOOR, who have recorded four consecutive million-selling albums and six consecutive entries on the Billboard 200, including HOME.

Beyond the new album, the group are set to launch their own video podcast series, DAMN!BULANCE, under HYBE MEDIA STUDIO's STAN:A. Premiering on 2 October at 7 PM KST, the series will see the members and a rotating lineup of guests unpack everyday "DAMN!" moments and work out how to navigate unexpected situations. New episodes will arrive every other Friday via STAN:A's Spotify and YouTube channels.
