From creative battles in 'Live In Paris' to creative synergy in 'JAM!,' the emotional chaos of 'Bathroom,' and the bittersweet acceptance of love lost in 'As Time Goes By,' the project comes full circle with its lead single, 'Hollywood Action,' that Jaehyun, Taesan, and Woonhak, joined by Leehan, also had a hand in writing the lyrics for — making the track more personal as it comes straight from their hearts.
With each track, BOYNEXTDOOR shape their unique identity through the meaningful lyrics that show off their unmistakable individuality and growth.
'Hollywood Action' radiates star-studded confidence with the group’s hallmark unfiltered and relatable storytelling. Anchored by a swing rhythm and vibrant brass, the track cements the group’s versatility across genres as they experiment with new musical styles.
The accompanying video transforms the track into a soundtrack of sorts as it accompanies the cinematic visuals of the music video that capture Riwoo and Woonhak performing the song while dodging laser beams, and sees Jaehyun and Leehan move to the rhythm behind on-set actors. The camera whips to frame Taesan as he showcases his trademark charm, as Sungho pops up in a bus stop ad as an additional easter egg within the video.
The video is BOYNEXTDOOR’s unique sound, impressive vocals, stunning visuals, and innovative concept all wrapped into one — demonstrating their artistry and unbeatable storytelling ability through it.
The concept is a sequel to the group’s pre-release storyline, TEAM THE ACTION, where BOYNEXTDOOR played members of a film crew — aiming to showcase their work at the fictional Chicago Film Festival. In the music video, their cinematic journey culminates on the red carpet, celebrating their victory with scenes shot on set in Chicago.
