BTS have officially unveiled the music video for 'NORMAL' alongside a brand-new Korean version of the fan-favourite track, bringing one of the year's most talked-about teaser campaigns to its long-awaited conclusion.

Released exclusively on Spotify for Premium subscribers in select beta markets on 17 July, the 'NORMAL' music video offers a more intimate look at the members of BTS. Set in the quiet aftermath of a celebration, the visual shifts between scenes from the previous night's festivities and the stillness of the following morning, spotlighting moments of vulnerability that exist beyond the glare of global fame.

The music video also pays off the group's viral promotional campaign with the reveal of the now-iconic bathroom scene. Fans who spotted the mysterious newspaper advertisements in the New York Post and San Francisco Chronicle earlier this week will immediately recognise the image of all seven members standing before a row of toilets — a tongue-in-cheek visual that initially sparked speculation online before being revealed as part of the rollout for 'NORMAL'.

While the Spotify-exclusive premiere gives fans an early look at the visual, the music video is set to receive its worldwide release on 19 July.

Alongside the visual, BTS have also released a Korean version of 'NORMAL' across all streaming platforms. Featuring lyrics primarily in Korean, the new rendition offers a fresh perspective on one of the standout tracks from the group's fifth studio album, ARIRANG. The updated version adds another layer of intimacy to the Ryan Tedder-produced song, whose understated production and conversational sing-rap delivery explore the emotional space between life in the spotlight and moments of quiet reflection.

The release follows a promotional campaign that quickly became a global talking point. Tabloid-style advertisements published in the New York Post on 13 July and the San Francisco Chronicle on 14 July teased what appeared to be a scandal involving the members, complete with the headline, "BTS Seen in Bathroom Amid Mysterious Late-Night Gathering." The playful campaign rapidly went viral across social media before today's music video revealed the full context behind the striking imagery.

The unveiling arrives as BTS continue their blockbuster BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG', having recently wrapped the sold-out European leg. The group are also gearing up for another landmark moment as they prepare to headline the inaugural FIFA World Cup 2026 Halftime Show.
