Global Citizen Festival just added a new headliner for their 2023 edition.
On 6 September, the festival revealed that global pop superstar Jungkook will be co-headlining the event happening on 23 September 2023. Happening at Central Park in New York, this will mark the BTS' member's return to the city since his Good Morning America stint last July.

Anitta, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stray Kids, Megan Thee Stallion, and more are also slated to perform. The festival aims to "nite millions of voices, amplified by the world’s biggest artists, to demand urgent action from world leaders" in time for their gathering in New York City for the United Nations General Assembly this September.Â

BTS kicked off Global Citizen Festival from Seoul in 2021 with performances of 'Butter' and 'Permission To Dance'.
Last July, Jungkook made his solo debut with his chart-topping hit, 'Seven (feat.) Latto'.Â
