BTS added another major milestone to their catalogue as ARIRANG debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, while lead single 'SWIM' opened at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
ARIRANG posted 641,000 equivalent album units in its opening week, including 532,000 in pure album sales. The release was also billed as the biggest album debut of 2026 so far, and the biggest for a male artist this decade on the Billboard 200.
The group’s latest full-length also sent 13 tracks onto the Hot 100, led by 'SWIM' at No. 1. Other songs to make the chart included 'Body to Body' at No. 25, 'FYA' at No. 36, 'NORMAL' at No. 41, and 'Aliens' at No. 47.
Beyond the Hot 100 and Billboard 200, ARIRANG also reportedly powered BTS to No. 1 across the Artist 100, Global 200, Digital Song Sales, World Digital Song Sales, and Top Album Sales charts. The release additionally debuted at No. 1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart, as well as the national album charts in France and Germany.
With the feat, BTS also became the first South Korean act to debut at No. 1 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200 at the same time.
