BURNOUT SYNDROMES are celebrating a decade since their major debut by returning to where it all began.
On 19 August, the Japanese rock trio released Haikyu!! BOS - Syudaikatachinoutage -, a special cover album dedicated to the beloved anime Haikyu!!. Translating to “Banquet of Theme Songs,” the record sees the band revisiting the music that has soundtracked the series through their own interpretations.
BURNOUT SYNDROMES' history with Haikyu!! stretches back to their 2016 major-label debut, when 'FLY HIGH!!' was selected as an opening theme for the anime's second season. They later returned with 'hikariare' and 'PHOENIX', further cementing the series as a defining part of the band's musical journey.
For their 10th anniversary, the Osaka trio have turned the spotlight on the wider Haikyu!! soundtrack. The 12-track album features their takes on songs originally performed by SPYAIR, NICO Touches the Walls, Sukima Switch, tacica, CHiCO with HoneyWorks, and SUPER BEAVER, alongside BURNOUT SYNDROMES' own Haikyu!! themes.
The album artwork also features specially drawn illustrations from Haikyu!!, bringing the worlds of the band and the anime together once more. Coinciding with the release, a JUMP MV for 'PHOENIX' featuring illustrations from Haruichi Furudate's Haikyu!! manga premiered today.
BURNOUT SYNDROMES are also headed to the Philippines next month. The band will perform at BURNOUT SYNDROMES LIVE IN MANILA 2026 on 5 September at The Crossroad Center, with the show scheduled to begin at 6 PM. Get tickets here.
