The prestigious Thailand Headlines Person of the Year Awards are positioned as one of the region’s key end-of-year honours, recognising individuals and groups who have shaped public conversation, fandom culture, and cross-border influence over the past year. Held on 16 December at BITEC Live in Bangkok, the ceremony spotlighted achievements across music, entertainment, media, and Thailand–China cultural exchange.

One of the night’s biggest moments belonged to BUS (Because of You I Shine), who were crowned The Most Influential Thai Boy Group, marking a major milestone in their fast-rising career. Also picking up a key music-related honour was Esther Yu, who received Most Popular Chinese Artist, underscoring the awards’ emphasis on regional pop culture exchange and cross-border fandoms.

Singer-actor NuNew enjoyed a standout night. In addition to winning Popular Male, he was also honoured alongside Zee Pruk as The Most Influential Thai BL Couple, recognising the duo’s immense popularity and cultural impact within Thailand’s BL scene and regional fandoms.

Adding to the night’s music-forward energy, members of BNK48 appeared as part of the ceremony’s performances and cultural showcases, reinforcing the strong idol presence that shaped the event.

Beyond the music wins, the ceremony also recognised impact across entertainment and society.

  • Engfa Waraha and Charlotte Austin received Most Influential Thai GL Couple, celebrating their cultural resonance and devoted fandom.

  • Industry figures Saithip “P’Chod” Montri-kul Na Ayutthaya and Worrit “P’Es” Wai-jiaranai were honoured in the Thailand–China Relations category for their contributions to media and cultural exchange.

  • Other actor pairings and creators were also acknowledged for strengthening Thailand–China entertainment ties.
