Lim last performed in Manila at Wanderland Music Festival in 2019. This time, he is looking forward to sharing his music in a smaller setting.
“Festivals are always exciting, but there’s something different about being in a smaller room where you can actually sit with the songs and have a proper conversation with people,” he shares. “DAYDREAM is a very personal record, so being able to share it that way feels quite fitting.”
Ahead of the showcase, Lim will release a new version of ‘One Day I’ll Learn’ featuring Young Cocoa at midnight on 7 October. The Filipino rapper contributes an additional verse to the DAYDREAM track, offering his own perspective on regret, self-reflection, and learning from past mistakes.

“What made the collaboration really interesting to me was that Young Cocoa brought a perspective I would not have naturally arrived at on my own,” Lim explains. “His verse really gives the song another voice and another way of looking at that idea.”
Young Cocoa approached the track by listening without reading its lyrics first, allowing his emotional response and personal experiences to guide his writing. Lim’s openness also gave him room to experiment.
“I remember telling him I might get weird with it or experimental, and there was no opposition from his end,” the rapper says. “I relish and thrive when I get to explore all the creative pathways, and having Charlie be encouraging and generally laid-back throughout the process made it easy.”
The pair worked remotely, with Young Cocoa’s melodic choices making a particular impression on Lim.
“I couldn’t stop smiling when he sent over the demo; he really took it to another place, and I am so honoured to have such a talent hop on a song from DAYDREAM.”
Lim will also participate in FILSCAP’s Asia Songwriting Master Camp 2026, joining songwriters from across the region.
