On 1 May, the annual Japan-based music festival's organiser announced that American pop icon and five-time GRAMMY-winner Christina Aguilera will be headlining both the festival's Osaka and Tokyo legs on 17 and 18 August, respectively.
Also set to perform at this year's edition of Summer Sonic are K-pop groups BOYNEXTDOOR, IVE, and ZEROBASEONE, Japan's BE:FIRST, Band-Maid, and Chanmina, and Canadian singer-songwriter Lauren Spencer Smith.
