Local non-profit organisation Music For People is set to present Symphony Beyond Time on 3 June at the Esplanade Concert Hall, bringing together more than 300 musicians from 12 countries and regions for an ambitious orchestral showcase centred on themes of hope, peace, and resilience.

Singapore Ticketing Details:

Conducted by Singaporean conductor Dr Audrey Chung, the concert will feature Beethoven’s 'Triple Concerto in C Major' and 'Symphony No. 9 in D Minor', with the programme tracing a symbolic journey “from darkness into light”. Chung, who founded Music For People in 2018, shared that the performance holds deep personal meaning following the passing of her father, whose final message encouraged her to continue pursuing music even through grief and adversity.

One of the concert’s major highlights will be the Singapore debut of Taiwan’s Elite Artists Trio, comprising pianist Sherry Chen, violinist Qin Yun Du, and cellist Limu Ya. The trio also holds the distinction of being Taiwan’s only chamber music group recognised as a Steinway Artists Ensemble.

The concert will also feature an international lineup of soloists including soprano Jessica Chen, mezzo-soprano Anna Koor, bass William Lim, and South Korean tenor Lee Jae Wook. Joined by a chorus of more than 230 singers and a 70-piece symphony orchestra, the performers will collectively bring Beethoven’s 'Ode to Joy' to life as a celebration of unity across cultures and languages.

Beyond the concert itself, Music For People continues its outreach efforts through the Music Box Initiative, which gifts MP3 music players preloaded with songs to palliative care organisations including the Singapore Hospice Council and Malaysia’s Two Tree Lodge Palliative Care Association. A portion of the proceeds from Symphony Beyond Time will also be donated to palliative care organisations and music education programmes supporting underprivileged communities.

With Symphony Beyond Time, Music For People brings together musicians from across the world in a moving celebration of resilience, compassion, and the unifying power of music. Beyond its ambitious orchestral scale, the concert stands as a heartfelt reminder of how music can offer comfort, inspire hope, and create meaningful connections across cultures, communities, and generations.
