Coinciding with the 10th anniversary of the group’s major label debut, Da-iCE released their latest album MUSi-aM last week! This marks the Japanese boyband's first new original album in 16 months. The title, pronounced as “museum”, pays homage to the group’s history up till now.
The 16-track effort features the hit ‘I wonder’, which has accrued over 100 million streams, as well as ‘Story’, the opening theme for anime series FAIRY TAIL: 100 Years Quest. Other highlights include YouTube channel Teikou Penguin's opening song ‘A2Z’,the theme for TV Tokyo drama series Hyena entitled ‘Nai Mono Nedari’, as well as new tunes produced by the group members themselves.
Additionally, the music video for the album’s lead track ‘TAKE IT BACK’ is also out now. The lyrics for this song were written by members Taiki Kudo and Sota Hanamura, with composition and arrangement by STY. This aggressive dance track squeezes in 10 years of Da-iCE into one song.
Just yesterday, Da-iCE held a special event at Makuhari Toyosuna Park in Japan’s Chiba Prefecture. Subsequently, the group will embark on an arena tour from November onwards, creating an anniversary year where fans can experience the history of Da-iCE through performances at the Nippon Budokan and live concert halls, as well as in-store venues.
