DOES to bring 20th anniversary ‘Thanksloving!’ concert to Kuala Lumpur this November

Japanese rock trio DOES are bringing their 20th anniversary celebrations to Malaysia.

Best known among anime fans for their themes for Gintama and Naruto Shippuden, the band will perform at DOES 20th Anniversary Live “Thanksloving!” in Kuala Lumpur on 15 November at VOX LIVE KL. Presented by Ichigo Live, the concert will mark the trio's first anniversary celebration in Malaysia.

Comprising vocalist-guitarist Wataru Ujihara, bassist Yasushi Akatsuka, and drummer Keisaku Morita, DOES made their major-label debut in 2006. The band have since become closely associated with anime through tracks including 'Shura', 'Donten', 'Bakuchi Dancer', and 'KNOW KNOW KNOW' from Gintama, as well as 'Guren' from Naruto Shippuden.

The upcoming Thanksloving! anniversary series follows the band's 10th anniversary concert, Thanksgiving!, held in 2016. The Kuala Lumpur stop will take place after their anniversary show at Zepp Shinjuku in Tokyo on 13 September.
