Following the release of their successful third full-length album, Youth Chapter 3: ROMANTIC YOUTH, EPEX has released the English version of the album's title track, '눈물나게 고마워 (Grateful to Tears)', titled 'FOOL'. The release of this track marks the second English track by the septet, the first being their collaboration track with the American synth-pop duo, joan, 'so nice'.

Band leader WISH expresses what this release means to them as he says, "Excited to share ‘FOOL,’ the English version of the title track ‘Grateful to Tears’ from our third full-length album, with our fans. With the same melody but a different language, I think ‘FOOL’ highlights a difference in the overall tone of the song and the members’ voices. I hope many people can empathize with and feel comforted by EPEX’s music."

'FOOL' describes the feeling of being played like a pawn within a controlling relationship. The lyrics solidify this message as they express the determination to break free from the shackles of the relationship and be rid of the feeling of being trapped with no way out, as they say, "What if life was just a game and I was played by you? Controlled like a helpless fool." Stemming from the concept of being a 'fool in love,' the track also describes the desperation to overcome the emotional setback from the relationship and healing from it.

AYDEN of EPEX expresses their excitement in releasing their second English track as he muses, "Since all the lyrics in ‘Grateful to Tears’ were in Korean, I’m thrilled to present ‘FOOL,’ a full English version of the track. I believe you’ll be able to enjoy the difference between the two tracks if you listen closely to the message in each song. Please give it a lot of love!"

'FOOL' was released ahead of the extension of the fan concerts that will be happening in Macau on 4 October. This track truly solidifies the versatility of EPEX as they continue to showcase their musical flair in both Korean and English, making them powerhouses in K-pop music.
