Created as a collaboration between the late, great Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto and the world’s premier creator of mixed reality events Tin Drum - KAGAMI is a groundbreaking augmented reality concert that fuses dimensional moving photography with the real world and powerful sound design to create an unparalleled experience.

Audiences will wear optically transparent devices to view a virtual Sakamoto performing at the piano - while dynamic, dimensional art elements unfold synchronously with intricately designed stage lighting. Best of all, attendees are invited to experience this augmented reality performance as they wish - move around Sakamoto and observe him up close, wander through the multimedia elements, or take it all in while seated at a distance.
KAGAMI (“mirror” in Japanese) is one of Sakamoto’s final works, and features the legendary musician returning to his solo piano repertoire with compositions like 'Energy Flow' and 'Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence', along with rarely played pieces, such as the unreleased 'BB', dedicated to director Bernardo Bertolucci.
This transcendental, technologically innovative concert comes to Singapore from 24 October to 3 November, and will take place at the Esplanade Theatre Stage. Tickets are available here.
