A recent hi-bye session involving HYBE boy group &TEAM has sparked backlash after fans shared troubling accounts from the event, with complaints centring on how staff allegedly handled attendees during enforcement of a no-filming rule. Multiple accounts circulating online claimed that even fans who were not actively filming were treated roughly, with some alleging that staff grabbed wrists, pushed attendees, and slammed them against doors.

Fans also shared photos that appeared to show scratches and redness on their arms, further fuelling outrage. In one account cited online, a fan said they complied when asked to remove a phone but were still allegedly grabbed and dragged by security, leaving them with visible scratches.

More seriously, the controversy has also been amplified by allegations of inappropriate physical searches. Some fans claimed staff carried out excessive body checks, with one attendee alleging that a search involved inappropriate touching that left them feeling distressed.

Fans also pointed to previous meet-and-greet sessions where similar concerns were raised over invasive security checks, for which &TEAM later issued an apology. As this latest incident continues circulating within the fandom, it has reignited conversation around boundaries, event management, and the need for better preventive measures to stop future hi-bye sessions from turning sour.

As &TEAM and their management have yet to comment on the accusations made against the staff, fans remain visibly upset and continue calling for changes to future hi-bye sessions.
