Following their debut, Fablewake announces their return with their new single 'Breaking the Waves' with one of Philippines' most respected studios Tower of Doom.
'Breaking the Waves' promises to perfectly encapsulates Fablewake's unique 2000s adult contemporary rock influences. The track presents as a chant-worthy arena rock anthem that aims to spur fans on, empowering them while injecting a sense of determination.

The track commences with a heartfelt vocal performance by lead singer Phil Dael that urges fans to open their eyes and realise that they should never let their will and resilience falter in a fleeting moment of adversity. The song showcases the band's lyrical prowess as it conveys the message flawlessly.
When asking Dael about the track, he describes the inspiration behind it as he reflects, "The song was conceptualized after I watched a Discovery Channel episode where a group of seals were being washed ashore by huge waves in the Arctic, the title also draws inspiration from Lars von Trier’s indie film of the same name, which resonates with the track’s underlying themes. Despite its seriousness, the song ultimately carries a message of hope—breaking barriers and pushing forward.”
Since Fablewake's debut with 'Chernobyl Heart', the band has been lighting up stages with electrifying live shows while steadily building their presence online. With the music video for 'Breaking the Waves', and a new EP in the works, they’re set on reaching even more listeners. 'Breaking the Waves' comes crashing in on September 2.
