Foc Fashion are back with a timely new single for everyone reeling from the post-holiday slump. 'Rat Race’ is the Singapore-based Cebuano indie rock trio’s latest ode to the grind, capturing the shared haze of cubicle dread and corporate burnout.
The track comes with biting lines like “Check my attire, it’s called jaded corporate” and “Submit, I quit, Go find another fit,” taking listeners through the bleakly comic motions of working life with groovy riffs and disenchanted energy. It’s a cathartic listen, especially if you’re fresh off annual leave and staring down a full inbox.
"‘Rat Race’ is that universal un-feeling born from workday jadedness — whether it’s office politics, being stuck in a stale role, or doing things for people you don’t like to afford the cost of living,” the band shares.
The track is their fourth release since rebooting in Singapore with the addition of bassist and cover artist Mathew Wong, who joins original members Mark Sy and Miguel Saballa. It follows their recent singles ‘Space’, ‘Baloney’, and ‘Zombies’, all part of an upcoming album in development.
Produced by Chuck Buenaventura, ‘Rat Race’ is available now on all major platforms via Melt Records.
