Fred Perry Subculture Presents: Record Store Day Exhibition

ESTIMATED

We missed out on Fred Perry Laurel Wreath Collection Shop's farewell party last week because we were away on an overseas trip so we decided to drop by the store for their Record Store Day exhibition earlier today! The good people of Fred Perry Singapore commissioned local collective #vinyloftheday and record store label Vinylicious Records to curate the exhibition, a display of more than 100 exclusive vinyl editions alongside old classics. Naturally, that caught our attention and we packed our camera and notebooks, and made the trip down to charming Ann Siang Hill.

We must say, we were mighty impressed by the diverse collection of vinyls on display, mostly because we were suckers for album art. We spotted some of our recent favorites (Foals' Holy Fire, Brian Eno x Nicolas Jaar x Grizzly Bear) alongside the classics (Neutral Milk Hotel's In The Aeroplane Over The Sea, Belle and Sebastien's Tigermilk) and a whole lot of other fascinating records (The Collected Broadcasts of Idi Amin!). A fitting celebration really as the store's last event, for it'll cease operations on the 28th of April and relocate to Orchard Road. Drop by the store at Ann Siang while it's still there!
