Freya Skye finally drops her eagerly anticipated debut EP stardust, packed with radiant melodies and glittering vocal performances.
The record features her standout hit ‘silent treatment’ and comes just ahead of her extremely successful sold-out Stars Align Tour that begins on 6 February. With this record and the set list, her upcoming live shows are definitely going to be a captivating soundscape of beloved fan favourites and new bangers.
Freya muses about her EP and what this new musical endeavour means to her as she shares, “I’m so excited that my debut EP stardust is finally out! I’m so excited about this project and proud of how it’s come together. Each song on stardust is a piece of who I was when I wrote it. They’re messy, honest, and a little bit broken on their own, but together they tell the full story. This EP is about embracing those fragments and letting them exist exactly as they are, and I really hope that people can connect with it and love it in the same way I do. This really feels like my first big step into music and one that I feel super excited about.”
The record was created in conjunction with renowned artists, writers, and producers such as powerhouse Julia Michaels, Grammy®-winning duo Mattman & Robin, Johan Carlsson, and many more. They each help Freya weave together the meaningful lyrics and rich melodies to serve up the bold and emotionally charged record that stardust is. It captures the beauty of chaos that shines through in being able to appreciate how messy life can be through the tracklist that spans songs like ‘petty’, ‘golden boy’, ‘maybe tomorrow’, and ‘why’d you have to call’, on top of the top 40 hit ‘silent treatment’.
