Fuji Rock Festival announces first wave of acts for 2018 – Kendrick Lamar, N.E.R.D., Skrillex, Vampire Weekend, CHVRCHES, and more

Fuji Rock Festival has announced the first massive wave of acts for 2018, and with the names they've gotten in, it's bound to sell out again.

Leading the way are reigning rap king Kendrick Lamar, the resurgent N.E.R.D., Skrillex, returning indie titans Vampire Weekend, CHVRCHES and Anderson .Paak and the Free Nationals. The smaller acts are no slouches either: Jack Johnson, MGMT, Odesza, Years & Years, James Bay, Tune-Yards and more.

This announcement is bound to inspire some grumbling about how 'un-rock' it all seems for a rock festival, but there really isn't a bigger rock star than headliner Kendrick Lamar right now, so this line-up seems just fine to us.

Fuji Rock Festival will be held at Naeba Ski Resort from 27 to 29 July. Tickets run from 18,000 yen (SGD $220) for a one-day early bird pass to 45,000 yen (SGD $550) for a three-day general pass. Early bird tickets go on sale here today.
