Japanese boyband GENERATIONS have released their latest single, ‘Two Steps Back’ — the third track in their ongoing PRODUCE 6IX COLORS series, where each of the six members takes turns producing a song over six consecutive months.

Produced by GENERATIONS leader Alan Shirahama with sound crafted by Grammy-nominated Asian-American producer Shintaro Yasuda who has worked with the likes of Ariana Grande and LISA, the track pulsates with rhythmic beats and a magnetic hook, capturing the dance of desire and distance in love.
Its lyric video, animated by illustrator Nui, layers the emotional tone with a nostalgic, retro '90s flair. ‘Two Steps Back’ follows February and March’s installments and continues the build-up to GENERATIONS’ fall arena tour in Japan — all part of a bold new chapter for the group that first debuted in 2012.
