With a smattering of tropical house and synthesized funk, 'JU1Y' sounds almost nothing like either artist has done before. This single is the first recorded collaboration between Singaporean acts Gentle Bones and MYRNE. 

"We've been fans of each other's work for so long - but only started working together when we were bored with the music that was coming out of our respective circles," MYRNE says of their partnership. "With 'JU1Y', we wanted to write something spontaneous and about something on both our minds at the time. This is about a girl in July - so here it is in August."

If you've found yourself pining for more of the beat-heavy songs off Geniuses & Thieves, MYRNE's production work on 'JU1Y' will be a treat. There's no indication if this song will appear on a future EP/album by either artist, but it is hinted that there's more to come from this duo.
