A new Girls’ Generation unit has officially arrived. Girls’ Generation-HRS, comprising HYOYEON, YURI, and SOOYOUNG, made their unit debut on 1 September with the digital single Skibidi via SM Entertainment.

The release features two tracks, title track ‘Skibidi’ and B-side ‘Lowkey In Love’.

‘Skibidi’ moves between house and hip-hop, incorporating Arabian-inspired string samples into its production. Lyrically, the track is about carving out your own path, delivered with the trio’s playful confidence.

Meanwhile, ‘Lowkey In Love’ heads in a brighter, retro-inspired direction, bringing together upbeat brass, a groovy rhythm, and a catchy melody.

Fans got their first taste of both tracks before their official release when HYOYEON, YURI, and SOOYOUNG performed them at the 2026 CassCool Festival at Seoul Land in Gwacheon on 22 August.

Girls’ Generation-HRS originated from the Fake Kim Hyoyeon series on HYOYEON’s YouTube channel, Hyo’s Level Up. The series saw the three Girls’ Generation members competing for positions including main vocalist and center, with the project eventually developing into their official unit debut.
